El fin de semana pasado se entregaron los premios AVN, los Oscar's del porno:

Mientras Javier Bardem se enteraba por una fría rueda de prensa que era el ganador del Globo de Oro a mejor actor de reparto, Tom Byron recibía el premio como mejor actor en una caliente vigésima quinta edición de los AVN Awards, que reconoció a lo mejor del cine porno del 2007 y que sí se pudo ver por el canal Showtime.

La ceremonia, que se celebró en Las Vegas (Estados Unidos), no sufrió con el paro de los guionistas de Hollywood. Al contrario, consiguió un pequeño triunfo frente a los desinflados Globos de Oro, al darle más pantalla a ese campo del entretenimiento, en el que sus protagonistas no brillan por sus matices dramáticos, sino por dotes que saltan a la vista.

En la gala de los AVN se entregaron 108 premios entre los que se destacaron Upload, de Sex Z Pictures, que recibió ocho estatuillas, y John Stagliano, que se llevó el premio a mejor director.

Night Shift Nurses: Experiment manages to break the fine tradition I've had of hating nearly every release of this franchise. With a single episode that's now been blown away because this just happened to be fun to watch. It's got great animation, solid character designs and enough of a plot to make me wonder what's really going on. The slight edge of psychological drama helps to ground it a bit more and without the insanity of the good doctor it feels a bit more mellow. Sky isn't a nice and innocent guy but you really want to see what it is that's made him like he is. Each new release of this franchise has always had me dreading it but now I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of Night Shift Nurses: Experiment.

The slight edge of psychological drama helps to ground it a bit more and without the insanity of the good doctor it feels a bit more mellow. Sky isn't a nice and innocent guy but you really want to see what it is that's made him like he is. Each new release of this franchise has always had me dreading it but now I'm very much looking forward to seeing more of Night Shift Nurses: Experiment.
